Fabrizio Romano confirms Arsenal are advancing in talks to sign RB Leipzig’s most-feared talisman

Sesko-Arsenal-transfer

As revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are advancing in negotiations to sign RB Leipzig sensation Benjamin Sesko. He is high on their transfer wish list, and hence, initial talks were held with the opposite camp last week.

No agreement has been reached between both sides, but talks are moving at a faster pace. The management are aware of the conditions of the deal and are working to complete the transfer without any last minute hiccups.

This highlights the Gunner’s seriousness in landing their top transfer targets this summer. They haven’t lost sight of Sporting CP’s Victor Gyokeres, who remains a fan favourite as well.

Arsenal considered a move for Sesko in January even if the Slovenian recently signed a new contract that extended his stay until 2029. His agent ruled out the transfer due to a gentleman’s agreement in the player’s contract that demands him to stay at atleast until the summer.

However, Leipzig are now willing to cash in on him after failing to qualify for the UCL. No transfer price has been quoted as of now, but the Independent claimed that an agreement could be reached if Arsenal agree to pay at least £75 million for the prized asset.

Sesko has been a menace upfront as he scored 21 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last season. The 21-year-old hails from the NK Domzale academy, and their sporting director Matej Orazem predicted a long time ago that the striker is ‘destined for greatness’.

And now, the physically imposing attacker (6ft 5in) is the most sought-after talent worldwide. With a top speed of 35.47 km per hour, he is also one of the fastest players in the German league. He loves to run into defences and move quickly into attacking positions.

Sesko is currently focusing on his international duty after being withdrawn from Slovenia’s upcoming game against Luxembourg due to an injury. It remains to be seen if he can make it against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Tuesday.
