Fulham Football Club has reportedly shown interest in signing out-of-favour Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares.
The 31-year-old Portuguese defender has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, making only four appearances for the club this season. Soares joined Arsenal on loan from Southampton in January 2020, and the club made the move permanent in the summer of that year.
However, he has struggled to establish himself in the starting lineup due to injuries and competition for places. Fulham, currently 6th in the English Premier League, is in need of reinforcements in defense.
Soares, known for his defensive solidity and experience, could provide a much-needed boost to Fulham’s backline. The move would also provide Soares with an opportunity to revive his career and gain regular playing time.
He has previously established himself as a reliable defender in the Premier League during his time at Southampton and could do the same at Fulham.
It remains to be seen if the transfer materializes, but Fulham’s interest in Cedric Soares highlights their need for defensive reinforcements. He could prove to be a valuable signing for the club if they can secure his services.
