Gabriel Magalhães has been a colossal presence at the heart of Arsenal’s defence for five years now. There were set of supporters that doubted his long-term future citing his ball-playing abilities and how he would not fit in a complete set of players under Mikel Arteta’s style of play.
Proving doubters wrong and making them eat their words, the Brazilian has been one of the most influential figures in the Arsenal side in the ongoing campaign scoring four goals in the Premier League. His impact is more than goals though, Gabriel Magalhães is not only a sturdy presence in the defence but also has been central to covering the inversion of left-back. Magalhães’ ball playing ability has also improved massively.
