Juventus is eyeing to make a move for Arsenal’s formidable right wing back Hector Bellerin. The Spanish International is deployed as the right wingback in the new formation of Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is preferring to play with a 3-4-3 formation for Arsenal this season and Bellerin is a very important part of this formation as the player supplies the ball to the attackers and also helps in the defense when needed.
The Barcelona academy product had developed himself as a winger but after joining Arsenal he was given the role of the right back. The player had proclaimed his place in the Arsenal side following the injuries of Calum Chambers, Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Debuchy from the mid season of 2014-15.
He became quite a regular player of Arsenal in 2015-16 and 2016-17 season and in this new formation of 3-4-3 he is just irreplaceable as the player possesses both the quality of attack and defense.
Juventus had reported made an enquiry over Hector Bellerin as they also need a right back to win the Serie A title and to perform significantly well in the Champions League. They had Dani Alves in that position till the last season. But the player joined the Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain in this summer transfer window. The team is now clearly missing the experience of Dani Alves in that position.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri had tried several players in that position. Juventus had brought Mattia De Sciglio from AC Milan to replace Dani Alves. But the player is not of the same potential as of Dani Alves. Stefano Sturaro and Stephan Lichtsteiner are also in the squad of Juventus to play in that position. But the matter of fact is that no one have the X factor that is needed to play well against the top clubs of Europe.
On the other hand, Hector Bellerin was strongly linked for a move to Barcelona earlier in this summer transfer window of 2017-18 season. But somehow Arsene Wenger was able to stop that move to be happened.
The 22 year old player is known for his pace. Using his pace, he is able to successfully take on opposition defenders as well as move swiftly to a defensive position. His attributes are really attractive for a team to buy him and the age is also in the player’s favour. The player had won FA Cup and Community Shields two times each for Arsenal. But the player is still not able to be present in the starting lineup for Spanish National Team for a permanent basis.
Arsenal were not able to qualify for the Champions League this season and the way they started the season, the chance of finishing in the top four in the Premier League this season are not very brightening. If the player wants to perform well in the top level of European Football and make a sure shot chance in the National Team he can surely choose Juventus. His defensive quality can also be improved playing with the Italian defensive maestros like Chiellini and Barzagli. The chances of Juventus playing in the Champions League next season are also very high.
Now, we have to wait and watch how much Juventus will bid to get Bellerin in their squad in the next transfer window. The decision of Arsenal team management will be really significant as the player have a contract to play for Arsenal till 2022. Bellerin’s choice will also be a very important factor in this scenario as he will need to choose between two clubs if Juventus show real interest in him in the next transfer window.
