Henrikh Mkhitaryan as well as Sokratis Papastathopoulos will face a late fitness test for their availability against Brentford on Wednesday.
Firstly, I don’t think their injuries are too bad – if they don’t play against Brentford, I’m reasonably sure they will be back against Watford at the weekend. Secondly, I won’t risk either of them against Brentford.
Both of them had their lay off on back of incredible performances, Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Vorskla last Thursday and Sokratis Papastathopoulos against Newcastle United followed by Everton (for the time he was on field against Everton he looked a beast).
Arsenal official website published following injury update on Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sokratis, before Brentford fixture:
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Right ankle from FC Vorskla match last Thursday. Continuing to be assessed ahead of Wednesday’s match with Brentford.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos
Right dead leg during Everton match on Sunday. Currently being assessed ahead of Wednesday’s match with Brentford.
