So, How could Arsenal line-up against Manchester United?
Goalkeeper
With David Ospina featuring aginst Atletico Madrid on Thursday, Petr Cech is expected to be back between the woodworks. Petr missed out on 4-1 win against West Ham last week woth hip problems but is fit and gunning to start against The Red Devils.
Arsenal’s No.33 have kept 10 Clean Sheets in the Premier League this season and will be looking to come out clean against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Defenders
The regular central defensive duo of Mustafi and Koscielny is expected to be rested with Arsenalcore bagging with Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding to replace them.
Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac are expected to take charge as full backs with again Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal expected to be rested.
Midfielders
One of the bright star for Arsenal this season – Mohamed Elneny will serve sidelines with ankle injury after landing inappropriately against West Ham last week. He is expected to miss out on rest of the season.
With Elneny rested, young Ainsley Maitland-Niles can cover up in the defensive midfield position. It has been a break through season for Mainland-Niles, making 25 appearances for the Gunners in all competition this season.
Jack Wilshere just recovered from a knock and was been rested against West Ham last week. Despite playing for ninety minutes against Atletico Madrid – it is expected that Jack Wilshere will start against Manchester United. Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka are expected to be rested again.
With stars rested, young Joe Willock could get his chance against the Reds from Manchester. Joe started against Newcastle United couple of weeks back and looked far from ready to step up into first team setup. But with lack of options, he may get another opportunity to prove himself.
Wingers
Reiss Nelson and Alex Iwobi should combine on the flanks. Both the starlet have the capability to beat opposition defence easily and could just get the opportunity to show they belong in the first team.
Nelson is someone who has excited Arsenal supporters as much as Jack Wilshere and Cesc Fabrigas in their teens. Reiss has also looked confident and here it is, an opportunity to show the world – What Reiss Nelson is capable of?
Alex Iwobi has shown his inconsistent abilities, and many are having a second thought about his opportunities. Iwobi really needs to prove himself right now and this is the biggest platform to do the same.
Striker
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will come back into the starting eleven after missing out on Atletico Madrod fixture midweek and coming on as a substitute against West Ham United last week.
