Alexandre Lacazette has been an admissible presence upfront for Arsenal, someone who not only works hard on the ball but also grinds out off it. His hold-up play could get Pierre Aubameyang & Nicolas Pepe cutting in from the wings and crowding the oppositions final third with likes of Mesut Ozil & Dani Ceballos looking to break lines and pressurizing the opponents.
Though many don’t understand how Alex Lacazette helps out the team, you know a striker is judged by goals yet former Arsenal man Olivier Giroud was one of France’s most important player in their World Cup triumph in 2018.
Now, Arsenal do have Pierre to play upfront in his preferred number nine position, with Arteta admitting over Gabonese involvement from the left only due to make up of the current squad. But Mikel would prefer Lacazette upfront not due to his goalscoring antics but because what he does for the squad offering a better option to hold up play with back-to-goal being the focal point for in the attacks.
But with Lacazette struggles in front of goal lately complemented by Arsenal being linked with Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic, many would suggest to try having the Serbian international for once. But his antics at Santiago Bernabeu has shown he can’t hold up as good as Lacazette and is also struggling infront of goal.
Jovic is not a risk Arsenal can afford, especially when someone with abilities of Lacazette is around. I feel like people are really undermining the Frenchman, but he still is the right option.
Many would argue with me claiming Jovic’s involvement with Eintracht Frankfurt, yet I won’t disagree over his abilities but at current point with current showdowns and considering the fact that we are talking about Premier League – Alexandre Lacazette is a better suited option upfront than Luka Jovic!
