The Gunners have a buy back clause for former Arsenal midfielder and recently turned Empoli magician Ismael Bennacer. His performance gives no reason as to why we should not bring him back.
In fact, signing a midfielder won’t be a bad buy for Emery because every midfielder that he has signed has turned out to be a Midas touch with every playmaker of his turning gold. Look at Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi for instance, could we have two better performers than these two Premier League infants who saved our as*es plenty of times.
For me, the second half of this season has all been scanning the midfielders viewed by Arsenal as a Ramsey-esque replacement or a midfielder. And once I am done with one, another volcanoes out. Primarily, I talk about the young players with only football to play for and to slog their body for.
After various advancements to make foreign players our own, which we have failed drastically( Yes, I am talking about Denis Suarez), now it’s time to call back our own. Ismael Bennacer, a young Gunner who was sent elsewhere to grant him more game time should be the one. Rightly, so. The midfielder has made name for himself at Empoli and has made Arsenal ponder to call a dibs ensuring a buy back clause.
He’s someone who is economical, talented and hard working at the same time. Basically, he’s not one of those rooster or let’s simplify it as Alexis Sanchez of Manchester United who runs behind the ball without knowing what he’s asked for. His performances for Empoli this season is no short of applaudable.
The midfielder, only 21 has offered glimpses of a mature player, capable of replacing Ramsey. I say this not because he’s 21 which obviously is an add-on to the skillset and talent he possesses. There is a lot to offer for a unique midfielder in an already versatile squad.
I find no excuse as to why Ismael should be left in Italy. Before he gets grounded in Seria A, better uproot him and plant him at Emirates.
