Serie A giants ready to offer a three-year contract to 31-year-old Arsenal star

Arsenal midfield stalwart Thomas Partey is receiving a lot of interest from elite foreign clubs as he nears the end of his contract.

As per CaughtOffside, Serie A giants Juventus are ready to offer a lucrative three-year deal to the Ghanaian international next summer. They are ahead in this race as they are planning to sign a strong defensive midfielder in 2025.

Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli are also eyeing a Bosman move. Atletico would like to bring their former player back. Meanwhile, Barcelona director Deco is looking to add muscle in the midfield after the departure of Oriel Romeu.

This rumour comes at a time when Partey is seen as an important figure at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta has kept the 31-year-old in his plans as his team aims to lift the Premier League and the European trophy.

The former La Liga star will be allowed to contact other suitors in January if there are no signs of a possible contract extension.

Arsenal are aware of the fact that they will lose him for nothing next year. But at the back of the mind, they are skeptical about handing a new contract to the midfielder.

Partey has made only 118 appearances in four years for the Gunners, and keeping the injury-prone player at the club won’t give them much benefit in the long run. He has been a loyal servant and played well when fit, but Arteta will look for a younger alternative in that position.

The English giants signed Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad for £31.6 million this summer. But the Spaniard’s shoulder injury will keep him sidelined for two months.

Partey has chipped in well this season, with Declan Rice given the freedom to play as a No. 6. However, it remains to be seen whether Merino’s return will push Partey to the bench.
