French footballer Laurent Koscielny will be available for Arsene Wenger’s side in Sunday’s Community Shield against Chelsea despite FA Ban.
In the final game of the Premier League campaign vs Everton, the 31-year-old was slapped with a three match suspension for the straight-red offence – and that ban was upheld following an appeal process.
Laurent Koscielny served the first game of the suspension against the Blues in the FA Cup final, two more will carry over to this season.
The Community Shield was thought to count as one of those, but the FA have confirmed that they consider the game to be a friendly, meaning Koscielny will only be around for one game before missing the season opener against Leicester and the trip to Stoke a week later.
