Arsenal forward gets lowly 1/10 rating during match in the international break

Trossard-Belgium

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard received a very low rating after a mixed performance for Belgium in their 1-0 defeat to Italy in the UEFA Nations League.

As per Belgian website Walfoot, Trossard had a first-half worthy of a 1/10 rating but made amends for it in the second half, in which he performed slightly better.

While the website’s criticism may be harsh, Belgium are in a spot of bother of late. They have recorded just one win in their last five matches, falling to three defeats and securing one draw as well. In addition to the poor run of results, the Red Devils have also conceded at least two goals in all but one of those matches.

Trossard was just one of many who have been subpar for their country in recent matches, resulting in a major downturn of their form.

Leandro Trossard played the entire 90 minutes for Belgium in their 1-0 defeat against Italy at the Stade Roi Baudouin on Thursday, November 14.

Despite being one of the key players for both Arsenal and Belgium in their attacking moves, Trossard was a shadow of himself in the first half as he lacked involvement with his team’s moves. A player known for his knack of getting into good positions at the right moments, the 29-year-old was slightly off the pace in the first half, as per Walfoot.

He lost possession of the ball a staggering 18 times throughout the match, highlighting his lack of positive impact. Trossard also won just three of the nine duels he contested in the match as he was unable to impact Belgium’s attacking play. He also attempted three shots, but just one of those was on target.

However, with a better second half, Trossard played three key passes, one cross and also made one interception. Should Domenico Tedesco decide to start him against Israel, Trossard will look to perform better.
