Arsenal are under-going a negative phase where supporters doesn’t trust the manager and the man-in-charge doesn’t really trust many of players at his disposal and the men-playing-for-the-crest are seemingly fed up of inadmissible tactics from man-in-charge. Its a mess, ain’t it?
Well, coming Saturday, the mess either clears up for good or it just brings a short-term of joy for the supporters with instant regrets over extended stay of manager-at-helm. As per reports, Unai Emery is possibly handed an ultimatum where a defeat on Saturday could see him off London Colney.
Arsenal supporters are rather following the match calmly knowing its either three points or bye-bye-Unai.
One Man…One Man, has protected Emery’s not-soo-good tactics by scoring goals for fun. You already know who I’m talking about – Pierre-Emerick Aubamemyang.
Aubameyang has been critical in front of goal for the Gunners and will possibly be the man Emery needs to step-up if he wants to save his job, though more importantly for me, take three points from King Power.
Although Pierre scored for fun when Lacazette was down with injury and he was played in his much preffered central position, but since return of the Frenchman he is forced to play winde once again. But to witness Laca-Auba chemistry, its totally worth it.
Leicester press high with full-back higher, Aubameyang could be crucial, especially on counter attacks.
His speed, finishing, presence everything will be tested by in-form Leicester (though more about them later), but above all his leadership quality will come into play. With Unai Emery admitting Xhaka being stripped off captaincy and Aubameyang taking over the arm-band. It will be vital to wear the arm-band at King Power on Saturday, surely.
Well, on other side we’ve got in-form Leicester who have rejuvenated since Brendan Rodgers took over and are one of the best sides in the Premier League as of now, especially after beating Southampton 9-0 at their own turf. Rodgers has done an excellent job with Leicester and as Emery has Aubameyang, Rodgers has Vardy.
Jamie Vardy has also found his old class since Rodgers took over, delivering goods everytime he steps on the pitch and judging by his history against Arsenal, he’z got big part to play.
Vardy is much similar to Aubameyang, someone who relies on speed and quality shooting, and especially someone who believes in playing-as-a-team.
With much vulnerability into Arsenal’s defence, Vardy has a perfect opportunity to continue his goalscoring record against Arsenal, maybe better it for good. Although it would be difficult to get past someone like Bernd, but with defence he has at his service you’d expect to find someway.
Like Laca-Auba chemistry, Jamie Vardy has his own bromance with James Maddison, who has proved to be his postman on multiple occasions. Though if both of them are on their good days on Saturday, Arsenal have a army of duo to deal with.
