Lucas Torreira on verge of joining Arsenal and the supporters are getting desperate over waiting for an official announcement.
Arsenal agreed a £26.4million fee with Sampdoria for Torreira shortly before the start of the World Cup, though no medical was conducted in Russia and Torreira was allowed to focus exclusively on the tournament.
With Uruguay knocked out of World Cup, the focus for Lucas shifts to sealing the deal with Arsenal.
Lucas Torreira admitted his likeliness over travelling with the national team back to Uruguay, as he is scheduled to arrive in London for medical at London Colney on Monday.
Torreira told Telenoche: ‘I would have been very happy to be able to return to Uruguay with my teammates, but this is a fantastic opportunity [to join Arsenal] and I do not want to waste it.’
Unai Emery has already signed Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos this summer with Matteo Guendouzi also amongst the expected arrival.
