Manchester United are reportedly set to beat Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea to the signing of U-15 midfield sensation Emmanuel Ziro. This is as per reports from MUFC Youth’s status update on X, which state that the Red Devils are eager to get ahead in the race and get the deal done.

Ziro is a highly-regarded player among the English youth circuit and Manchester United are aware of the fact. In fact, owners INEOS have laid out a detailed plan emphasizing on key aspects that need work for the future. Using youth players is a key part of this new development, with the club also putting in an unspoken upper limit on age in the first team of late.

This move has seen the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho’s entry into the first team being fast-tracked, and both have performed well. This has paved the way for other youth players to make similar entries into the senior squad.

Emmanuel Ziro’s future at Manchester United seems planned out

Manchester United have put great emphasis on the systematic building up of their squad since INEOS have taken over. The ownership group have also made it abundantly clear that their interest in building the main squad is the same as for the youth teams as well. To that tune, they are ready to sanction funds to make deals happen at all levels.

United are currently looking for players across several youth levels, with some closer to the lower levels, while others nearly ready for first-team action. They have already chased Chris Rigg and now their pursuit of Emmanuel Ziro is a strong sign of intent. Other youth players that the Red Devils have shown interest in are Michael Noonan from St. Patrick’s Athletic and Fluminense’s Kaua Elias.

Now, with rivals Arsenal and Chelsea also entering the picture, Manchester United have undoubtedly upped the ante. With the two London-based clubs known for investing in youth, Man United will take no risk and move swiftly.
