Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has been called up by Didier Deschamps to replace injured Blaise Matuidi in the French national team squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Albania.
After Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi was forced to withdraw through injury, Guendouzi, who had been part of the French U21 squad join up with France senior side for their qualifiers in November.
The 20-year-old was also called up as injury replacement for Manchester United star Paul Pogba in September, but is yet to make his debut. Deschamps side could seal qualification for the European Championships next summer with victory against Moldova, with a second qualifier against Albania to follow.
