This is not the first time the Gooners are talking about Samuel Chukwueze, he has been linked with a move to N5 multiple times over the years…
And the links were reciprocated on April 21st when Mundo Deportivo reported that Arsenal are highly interested in bringing Samuel Chukwueze to the Emirates Stadium and that the Villarreal winger is seeking change of surroundings in the summer. Chukwueze had an impressive 2022/23 season, scoring 13 goals and laying off a further eleven assists in 50 games, which has attracted attention from several clubs.
According to Calciomercato, AC Milan stand one of the clubs interested in securing the services of the 24-year-old Nigerian. They are specifically looking to strengthen the right side of their attack, and Chukwueze is seen as the ideal player for manager Stefano Pioli. However, they will face strong competition from Arsenal, Real Madrid, and other clubs for his signature.
Chukwueze’s current contract with Villarreal expires in 2024, and the transfer will depend on Villarreal’s stance on his price tag. The player’s decision will also play a crucial role, considering the multiple clubs interested in him. Calciomercato mentions Arsenal’s readiness to compete with Milan to secure Chukwueze’s commitment. The report suggests that Milan has a strategy to overcome competition from Arsenal and Real Madrid and plans to make contact with the player in the coming days.
It remains to be seen if Milan’s approach will be successful in beating Arsenal and other interested clubs to sign Chukwueze.
