With long term injury to Hector Bellerin, Arsenal were in search for a right back in January. One name came through high in Kevin Malcuit although a move to North-London failed to materialize.
Kevin Malcuit has highly impressed for Gli Azzurri’s since his move to Napoli in the summer which earned him links with English giants.
Arsenal first choice defender Hector Bellerin has been ruled out for the next nine months with suffering an ACL injury in January and the Frenchman was mentioned as a potential replacement.
Kevin Malcuit’s agent Bruno Satin however revealed his client is happy in Napoli, and never thought of leaving for Arsenal in January.
“I knew that after Bellerin was hurt that Arsenal were looking for a full-back,” he told Radio CRC.
“However Kevin has only just joined Napoli and continues to play under [Carlo] Ancelotti, so we never considered a switch.”
