Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach are planning to rope in Arsenal U21 striker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji next summer, per Football Insider.
Die Fohlen wants to lure top English talents to their club with a promise of handing them regular minutes at the senior level.
Signing the best future prospects is the key agenda for elite clubs in the transfer market, with German side Borussia Dortmuand being the best example of a team that has successfully transformed youngsters into world-beaters.
Monchengladbach will benefit from following the similar path and could make the first step by roping in Gunners 21-year-old star Oyedeji. The forward has scored five goals in five Premier League 2 games this season.

He has been named on the bench three times for Arsenal’s senior side—twice in the PL and once in the Champions League. Although his chances of breaking into the starting XI look slim, his moment is not far away as games come thick and fast. Injuries to other attackers mean that Oyedeji can get a shot in the see-off games.
His current contract expires next year, and the North London-based club is already planning to offer him a contract extension. However, they have to be quick since Monchengladbach are also pondering a move next summer.

Mikel Arteta didn’t shy away from giving first-team opportunities to young players like Ethan Nwaneri and Myles-Lewis Skelly. The former is slowly stamping his authority in midfield with his stunning displays this season.
Similarly, Oyedeji can also blossom if he features more often. No doubt moving to the German club will give him more playing time, something that can act as a thorn in Arsenal’s contract discussions with the academy talent.
Former Gooners like Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah are enjoying football after moving to Fulham and Crystal Palace, respectively, this year.
Smith-Rowe has been the pick among these with two goals and an assist in seven Premier League appearances for the Cottagers. Similarly, the Bundesliga outfit will try to convince Oyedeji that they can help him develop into a top player in years to come.
