Arsenal are reportedly in talk with Besiktas skipper Oguzhan Ozyakup, over a potential summer deal.
Oguzhan was at Arsenal since he was fifteen but was sold to Besiktas for £500,000 in 2012. With Oguzhan Ozyakup’s contract set to expire in the summer – Arsenal are looking to bring him back to North-London on a free transfer.
Arsenal have talented midfielders in their squad, but couple of them have under performed repetitively and stability is highly required in the center of the midfield.
After injury to Santi Cazorla (who hasn’t played since 2016), Arsenal have been lost in to replace the creativity the Spaniard provided.
With fitness problems to Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, the stability is not as concrete as Wenger would like.
Granit Xhaka has failed to live up the expectations and made in costly in-game errors on a consistent basis. Mohammed Elneny is simply not good enough. The Egyptian may be someone for the future but at the moment not someone Arsenal can rely upon.
Arsenal failed to bring in a midfielder, and are desperately in need of someone at the heart of the midfield.
Oguzhan Ozyakup is relatively young 25 year old midfielder who can play not only as defensive midfielder but also as an attacking one.
Ozyakup possesses **Wonderful** technical ability with a strength to control the pace of the game. He is even known for his passing abilities and ball control.
ARSENALCORE’s VIEW: Oguzhan Ozyakup will be an interesting signing for Arsenal. He is someone who checks all Arsene Wenger’s criteria and can provide something different to Arsenal. Oguzhan is highly recognised in Turkey and a return to Arsenal can set him a perfect platform to make his name.
Its absolutely risk free as he will be coming on a free transfer. Though it looks like he could become a core member of this Arsenal team.
