Arsenal midfielder, Oleksandr Zinchenko, has lauded the recent arrival of Jorginho from Chelsea as a major boost to the Gunners’ Premier League title aspirations.
Despite missing out on some high-profile transfer targets during the January window, Zinchenko believes that Jorginho’s vast experience, winning mentality and big personality will be invaluable to the squad.
Jorginho, who has over 500 club games under his belt and numerous accolades, including the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award, made his debut for Arsenal in a 1-0 defeat at Everton.
Despite some initial scepticism surrounding the Italy international’s ability to make an impact at Emirates Stadium, Zinchenko is confident that Jorginho will play a crucial role in helping Arsenal win their first Premier League title in 19 years.
Speaking to VBET News about Jorginho’s arrival, the Ukrainian said, “He is an amazing player, big personality. Huge experience as well. He is a winner, he knows how to win. And for sure he’s going to help us a lot.”
Jorginho’s inclusion will play critical in moving the ball around, especially when the Gunners’ are looking to kill the game off with a thousand passes. It’s one of those transfers that the supporters’ cannot appreciate till they see it with their own eyes. And having known how much Mikel admires the Italian – Jorginho is going to be an integral part of the squad for the next six months in their run for Premier League as well as Europa League.
Zinchenko also highlighted the similarities between Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta, and Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, stating that their shared desire to win every single game is the most important aspect of their management styles; “I have known Mikel since City, and I always knew that he is an amazing manager. There are a lot of similarities between Arteta and Guardiola, but obviously, everyone is a bit different, and still, there is some difference between them as well. But the similarity is that both of them want to win every single game, and that’s the most important thing.”
