Petr Cech will be returning to Chelsea post this season. Having said that, Europa Cup final at Baku will be his last outing for the Gunners, which was already decided but the ending could have been different.
Now, I feel he may have performed the last game for Arsenal against Valencia because of the pool of comments that Gooners have made on his decision to continue football as Sporting Director of Chelsea. The Czech Republic keeper was already under the radar of Arsenal fans for being second best to Bernd Leno and now adding fuel to the fire has come Cech with this announcement.
Since the reports of Cech signing a contract with the Blues, Arsenal fans have been furious with the preferred Europa League keeper. Announcing just a week before the finals may have cost Cech his place.
Should he be played against Chelsea will be a no-brainer to Arsenal, particularly because of him being second best after Leno and also because of his stupid decision. How could one repay the trust paid on him with such disgrace.
The only fair would be to leave him in despair. Don’t allow him to stand between the posts. As such he didn’t deserve the humble treatment before. He may have performed the role diligently but going into the finals, no risk should be entertained.
I say again, start Leno. If you don’t like to hear this from me have a look on plenty others opinion.
There’s no way in hell Petr Cech should even be in the squad vs Chelsea
He’s a legend.
He watched their penalty shootout vs Frankfurt while he was still at the game v Valencia
He’s their Sporting Director at Chelsea (with his former teammate as Manager now ‘Frank’)NO WAY

I don’t care how professional Petr Cech is. He is joining Chelsea straight after the most important Arsenal game for over a decade. Starting him against them should not be considered. Unai Emery must forget sentiment and start Leno, our number one keeper. #EuropaLeagueFinal #afc

Not suggesting in a million years he would chuck one in but he’s got everything to gain from it as Sporting Director .. just saying 🤔 personally aside from Final experience I’d of started Leno anyway.

Admire Cech but announcing you are (re) joining a rival you are playing against in a European final in a week means I would drop him and play Leno.

This guy cannot start in the final, it would almost be forfeiting this final. He has agreed to take up a sporting director role for the team we play against.
Leno better start or we’ve lost. https://t.co/uRzXuUOyfF

Petr Cech will be working at Chelsea next season. No need for sentimentality. Start Leno in the final.
