Former Tottenham gaffer Tim Sherwood revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could have joined Tottenham number of years ago.
Tottenham Hotspur will make the short trip to Emirates Stadium as they take on their North London Rivals – Arsenal in the Premier League tomorrow. Mauricio Pochettino’s side come into the fixture in sublime form, off an impressive victory against Chelsea followed by vital points against Inter Milan.
One man they will be looking to repress when they face Unai Emery’s Arsenal is – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has already netted eight goals for the Gunners so far this season.

Arsenal fans love Aubameyang, but the story could have been different and the Gabon international could easily have been pulling on a white shirt instead of a red one tomorrow.
“I like Aubameyang as he’s got one outstanding quality – his unbelievable pace,” Sherwood said on Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“He’s got ridiculous pace and in front of goal he turns out the numbers. He was playing in a real competitive league for [Borussia] Dortmund.
“I went and watched him play for Gabon against Brazil when I was looking at Sandro, and we’d already signed him at Tottenham.
“[Aubameyang] was playing right wing and the pace he showed at the side, I thought ‘we’ve found one’.
“I looked it up and he was at AC Milan, so he was at a big club’, and he was on loan at St Etienne.
“I recommended to the club that we maybe try and nick him for a low price.
“He could easily have been at Tottenham. We tracked him for a long period of time and we had little discussions with him.
“But the manager at the time decided that he didn’t want him and he wasn’t for them, so he could easily have been in a white shirt on Sunday.”
