Real Madrid would be willing to listen to offers for midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who has been on Arsenal’s radar for quite some time now. As per reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Los Blancos would be willing to listen to offers for the Frenchman if they are of the right amount. This stance comes in the wake of some below par performances by Tchouameni in recent matches.
Manchester City are also in the mix along with Arsenal as the player’s situation currently remains unclear. The report specifies that Real Madrid do not consider Aurelien Tchouameni’s departute a necessity, but will not block a move should a sizeable offer be made. Defensa Central has futher reported that Real will not accept lesser that €80 million for the player – the same amount they paid AS Monaco for him.
Tchouameni’s current deal runs until the summer of 2028 and he is currently just 24, which is why Real Madrid are adamant they want to recover their initial investment in the player. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal or Manchester City make a move for him this month.
Aurelien Tchouameni’s situation at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni was born in January 2000 and began his early playing career with Bordeaux primarily as a midfielder and eventually made it to their first team in 2018. He made 37 appearances for the club, mainly in central or defensive midfield, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Seen as one of the most assured and composed young players, Monaco signed him in 2020 and he was immediately made a part of the first-team setup. He made 95 appearances for Monaco, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists during his time at the club. He joined Real Madrid in 2022 and played his initial seasons as a defensive midfielder.

However, injuries to key center backs has forced him to be deployed as a makeshift defender, and being out of position has exposed some of Tchouameni’s weaknesses. As a result, if the player decides he is ready for a new challenge, the club will not prevent a move from happening.
