Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson has signed a long-term contract at North London. The 18-year-old will spend the rest of the season with Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
Arsenal announced on its official website, quoting: “Reiss Nelson has signed a new long-term contract with us ahead of a season-long loan move to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
A product of our Hale End Academy, Reiss has made 16 first-team appearances. The 18-year-old forward was named Premier League 2 Player of the Year last season after impressing for our under-23s. He is an England youth international having played up to under-19 level.”
Emery said: “Reiss is a talented young player and we’re pleased that he has signed a new contract with us.
“This move to Hoffenheim will give him the chance to get regular high-level competition in the Bundesliga and is an important step in his development.”
