According to Cadena SER (as quoted by journalist Ahmad Almutairi), Arsenal are showing interest in signing Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes this summer.
Will arrival of Mbappe force Rodrygo out of Real Madrid?
The 23-year-old has been a mainstay in Real Madrid’s title-winning squad last season. With 17 goals and 11 assists in 51 appearances, the youngster has contributed immensely in their efforts to win the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian hotshot has a contract running until 2028 and he is in no hurry to think about his future. However, his status might be drastically affected by the arrival of former Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
The French ace completed his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer amid a lot of fanfare. Carlo Ancelotti is stacked with options upfront which is a nice problem to have for any manager.

Young striker Endrick is also waiting to hit the ground running at the Spanish capital. This can limit Rodrigo’s movement in the starting XI since the manager needs to make sure that he can field his best players as per tactical needs.
As per recent reports, Arsenal manager Arteta is interested in Rodrygo and might explore a move before the final weeks of the transfer window.
The deal sounds too good to be true but it can be a blockbuster move if executed well by the Gunners. Fierce rivals Manchester City were also in contention to sign the Madrid ace but seem quite until now.
Arsenal director Edu would need to negotiate for a transfer fee that is well within their limits. As per Spanish outlet MARCA, Madrid value their prized asset at £102 million.
The La Liga side’s immediate priority is to announce a new contract for Luke Modric and strike a deal with Lucas Vazquez. It is chance worth taking for the Gunners since they could have a lot of options upfront.
RODRYGO’S VERSATILITY WILL BOLSTER ARSENAL’S ATTACKING UNIT
Rodrygo might work as a perfect back-up for Bukayo Saka and the manager might rotate both players to reduce work load. The South American ace can also be used as a striker at times.
He has been effectively used as a striker alongside Vinicius Junior and this pairing has been very effective in the knockout stages of the Champions League last season.

With Gabriel Jesus remaining injury prone and Kai Havertz being used a midfielder, Arteta could rotate players and use the Madrid star as a Number 9 as well.
As per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Ligue One club Marseille have submitted a fresh bid for Eddie Nketiah and this could leave a void to fill in the squad.

The Premier League defenders will certainly have a rough time dealing with Rodrygo’s pace and finishing. His good record against Man City means that he can also give an upper hand for the North London side in fixtures against the Champions.
Hence, it remains to be seen whether this rumours picks up pace or remains a stale one as we head into the dramatic phase of the ongoing transfer window.
