Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser has been at Arsenal’s radar for a long time now. The short and timid midfielder has impressed one and all with his performances at Bournemouth.
The Scottish forward has been able to help his club in scoring goals many a times. In the last campaign he provided them with a whopping 14 assists while also scoring 7 goals for the Cherries.
He is a perfect guy for a team like Arsenal, who need a dynamic player ready to give it their all for the jersey. He is not someone with a big name behind his back but with the way he has helped Bournemouth, he is surely the one who can work as an Ozil back-up.
A number of elite clubs are already keeping a tap on him but Gunners are the favourites to be signing him. He will be a perfect fit for a finisher like Aubameyang who loves to score for fun and he creates assist even in his dreams.
If Arsenal do sign him, he’ll bring with himself the fighting spirit and physicality of his former club, speed in the attacking third which Arteta aspires the most, accuracy from the wings and innumerable chances being created inside the penalty box. He is definitely the guy who will put a change in gear for Arsenal.
While Mesut Ozil only has a year or two of football left in him, he has started to grow in confidence under Arteta. The Spanish boss would not easily give away his best midfielder’s position to Fraser but could certainly use him the way Mkhitariyan was used in his days at London.
Ryan Fraser can serve as a back-up for Ozil the same way Mkhitariyan did and could also add strength to the bench of Arsenal. Ozil will definitely be used more by Arteta than he was by Unai Emery which will mean a fewer number of chances to prove for Ryan Fraser but even those would be enough for a guy with huge potential.
