Santi Cazorla is going to leave the Emirates as his contact has expired after the end of the season, the club have announced.
Santi Cazorla was the integral part of Arsenal for the last six years. But the end of his Arsenal career has not gone in the right way. The player was suffering from an injury in the Achilles tendon from the previous season. The injury has almost ended the footballing career of Santi Cazorla. He had undergone eight operations in his injured area and after that there was a development of Gangrene in his eaten part of the Achilles tendon. The doctors have feared that he will not be able to walk after this. But the skin graft and medications have saved Santi Cazorla from that. His skin of forearm where his daughter’s was tattooed, was used in the skin graft method. He is still undergoing some treatment processes.
His rehabilitation process is going on and it is expected that he can again play football at some stage in the next year. Arsenal club management were always beside their player throughout the whole process of this treatment. The former manager Arsene Wenger was also very much concerned about the condition of this Spanish professional footballer.
Santi Cazorla has joined the Gunners in the summer transfer window of 2012-13 season with a transfer fee worth £12 million. After that he has made 180 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions and scored 29 Goals for his side throughout this time period. Santi Cazorla has won two FA Cups and two Community Shields in his Arsenal career. His free kick goal against Hull City in the FA Cup Final of 2013-14 season will always be remembered by the Arsenal fans.
His play making ability, ability to take shots from long range were phenomenal and the Arsenal fans have surely missed him in the field over the last one and half season.
Santi Cazorla was named as the Arsenal player of the season in 2012-13 season. He has won the award of PFA fans’ player of the month two times in his Arsenal career. But all good things come to an end. Santi Cazorla’s career at Arsenal is also going to end after some days. The player is not very much sure about his future. Some sources are telling that he will go back to his mother club Villarreal after the end of his contract for the Gunners.
