Aaron Ramsey has scored aplenty of goals for Arsenal but to name one as his favorite shouldn’t be much of a task.
I know you already are thinking of some beauties Ramsey scored for the Gunners, those FA Cup winning strikes against Hull City and Chelsea or the one he scored against Fulham last season, no wait.. You’re even forgetting that out foot flick over the keeper in the Europa League.. Even the one he scored against Spurs’ at Wembley in his Last North London Derby.
I know, I’m missing one goal from the above list.. That 35-yard out strike against Galatasaray in the Champions League. Many couldn’t believe that, not even me and not even Wojciech Szczesny.
With Aaron Ramsey celebrating his strike, Szczesny was still in disbelief with hands on his head.
Recalling the goal, Szczesny told the Foot Truck: “He (Ramsey) scored one weird goal at Galatasaray where he’s tried to clear it. We had a corner kick, the ball’s come out and he’s like the last man. He doesn’t want to counter attack so he tries to clear it with his left foot and it just goes in the top corner.”
“That was my best goal, have a look at Wojciech’s reaction,” added Aaron Ramsey – who is teammate with Szczesny at Juventus, before Szczesny added: “The video from behind, he shoots and it goes in the top corner with his left foot and I’m like ‘what’. It shows how much confidence I have in you.”
