Since the departure of Aaron Ramsey, Joe Willcok has turned the heads of a lot of Arsenal supporters and has made them fall head over heels for him. The 19-year-old youngster has been an influential select for Arsenal and also an ideal Emery player.

If it was not for Willock, Arsenal would still be mopping around the loss of Aaron Ramsey. But his presence has softened the pain and has not dampened the true spirit of Gunners.

Here’s a list to why Willock blends perfectly with Emery.

1. The laborious Willock

For whatever little we see in Willock, there’s always one thing coming out of his body; vibe of hard-work and sweat of evidence. The youngster is as diligent as anybody on the pitch and gives it his all for the club.

He has that zeal to start every single game. In the game against Newcastle, for an hour that he played, he covered every patch of grass on football field and that too quickly.

And hard-work is something that Emery values. We all know the amount of energy, Emery craves for in his players and if there’s someone to fulfil his stomach, it is Willock with his diligence.

2. Always a boon for the Pocket

What’s the biggest plus in building an academy player? Apart from the love for playing for his own club it is the pocket-friendliness of a player that has grown up in the same club where he is playing.

And when a player as capable as Willock comes in as a Ramsey-esque replacement, little have the club to worry about. They don’t have to look for a heavily tagged player that can replace their legendary footballer. They already have a substitute ‘happily prepared’ to replace.

As long as Willock is capable of producing sensational performances for the club with consistency, Arsenal and Emery have no worries to ponder.

3. Willock’s tenacity and aggression

Talking about the games against Newcastle yet again, there was one more thing to scan through. Willock’s tenaciousness and aggression on the pitch was as evident as his energy. He showcased innumerable instances of tenancies and aggression.

The challenge on Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey by Willock took all the fans in awe. The youngster stuck into the boots of Shelvey which fairly expresses the fact that the 19-year-old is not scared to wrestle an opposition player.

If Willock continues to impress in the same manner that he did against New-Castle, then Arsenal will have a fantastic infrastructure for near future and further years to come.
