Alex Iwobi is more good to Arsenal than critics scream about. The midfielder has been substantial enough to prove his mettle in London.
I agree that the midfielder is fairly inconsistent but the development graph of this guy is far from enormous. Particularly in the latter half of the season where he was absolutely brilliant and had made me fall head over heals for him.
I talk about his improvement as a winger that although is not his strong position, the midfielder has enhanced himself in it. A traditional midfielder, Iwobi has embraced the position entrusted upon him with all his zeal.
Have a look on things that have made me write the right:
Firstly and most importantly, the midfielder turned winger has ample stamina to keep running up and down the hills for long. He also masters in getting the better of his opponents, by his game concentration or valuable tackles.
The player is not afraid of the confrontations from opponents because he has got the appropriate skill set to outrun them. He is the Galactico in out group of Patheticos.
The chances created by Iwobi are not that bad. If the creations he had advanced were scored, his assists tally would have been pretty decent.Above all, the confidence that this youngster possesses is far beyond brilliant and this is what makes me go in awe for him.
Let’s not forget his versatility. Should we rate him on a scale, this would be an important feature for giving him a 7 or 8 than a 5. Capable of playing in the keft or right side of the wing and also as a midfield option, Iwobi brings in options.
And for those thinking about selling Iwobi, please re-read the points I have listed out. What I feel is the winger should be re-positioned and not replaced. If we fit him in the right shoes, the dancing will begin to produce points.
