Tottenham will make the short trip to the Emirates Stadium to face arch-rivals Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday, January 15 in a crunch fixture at a crucial juncture in the season. Spurs are sat 13th in the table with 24 points from 20 games and trail the Gunners by a whopping 16 points as they are third with 40 points.
The visitors have not won even one of their last five meetings with Arsenal, losing four and drawing one. Their last win came back in May 2022 when they oversaw a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Gunners with Rob Holding sent off in the first half. As far as the Emirates is concerned, Spurs last won there in the EFL Cup back in December 2018.
Another major concern for Ange Postecoglou will be the ever-growing injury list at the club. Timo Werner was the latest addition to the list, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario and Wilson Odobert all remain sidelined. So keeping this in mind, how could Spurs line up?
Another big game for Kinsky – How could Spurs lineup?
New arrival Antonin Kinsky will take charge between the sticks, set to start in his third game since arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month. In front of him, Pedro Porro and Djed Spence will man the flanks in defense. Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray will play centrally.
Lucas Bergvall will start in midfield alongside Yves Bissouma and James Maddison. Dejan Kulusevski will play out wide on the right flank, captain Heung-min Son will play on the left side. In-form striker Dominic Solanke will lead the line for Spurs and will look to cause problems.
As for bench options, Postecoglou will have Brennan Johnson and Mikey Moore.
Tottenham lineup vs Arsenal: Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Bergvall, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son (C).
