As revealed by Spanish publication Fichajes, Real Madrid are ready to cash in on Arsenal and Liverpool-linked attacker Rodrygo Goes next summer.
The 23-year-old has shown enormous potential for the white club with mammoth performances against some of the best sides in Europe.
His match-winning displays in the Champions League have been widely applauded by the fans, but he has recently been overshadowed by other alpha players in the squad like Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham.
This has generated speculation that he will be given more importance if he prefers a transfer to another elite club. The Brazilian hasn’t been in his best shape this season, with just five goal contributions in 13 games.
RODRYGO COULD BE A LEADER AT ARSENAL
As things stand, Rodrygo’s future seems to be pointing at the Premier League. He will find comfort in the PL’s fast-paced and physical style of play, and a club like Arsenal is proving to be career-defining destination for young players.
The versatile star could be a powerful option at the right-wing spot, and his presence will elevate Arsenal’s attack to another level.
Former Gooner Emmanuel Petit also urged Mikel Arteta to sign the former Santos honcho as he compared him with club legend Sylvain Wiltord.
Speaking to Genting Casino, he said:
“I know he was asked about Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. the other day and he responded: ‘I am Rodrygo, look at what I did last season?’ This guy is so underrated and perhaps he feels like he is being overshadowed at Real Madrid.”
“In any case, he could be an absolute superstar for Arsenal and I rate him very much. He scores goals, gives assists and gives great energy on the pitch. He reminds me a bit of Sylvain Wiltord when I was at Arsenal.”
Madrid will be open to a move if any potential suitor offers an attractive proposal for the talented Brazilian attacker. The Gunners won’t get the player for cheap since his contract expires in 2028. He will give a massive financial boost to the Los Blancos.
🚨 Arsenal and Liverpool are both prepared to make “significant offers” to sign Rodrygo, who will be allowed to leave Real Madrid for the right price.

MUST READ: Could Mikel Arteta repeat Arsene Wenger’s trick vs Liverpool this weekend?
We believe that the next few months would bring more clarity, but at the current moment, the La Liga club is focused on signing a centre-back, with William Saliba being at the top of their wishlist.
But as per recent sources, they have now cooled their interest in the French international, and only time will tell whether both clubs become more flexible in the Rodrygo transfer race.
