The dawn of a new era in Belgian football has arrived. Nevertheless, not everyone was there to watch the sun rise as just 17 players were present in their training session this morning.
As revealed by the Belgian FA – De Bruyne, Lukaku, Vertonghen, Debast, Theate, and Leandro Trossard were all missing, and Bakayoko hadn’t yet arrived to replace the injured Doku. The aforesaid mentioned players participated in Sunday’s games and are just being kept on the bench for the time being.
The first training session of Domenico Tedesco’s tenure as national team manager took place this morning. Yesterday’s meeting was the first, the players were glad to stay inside and get some work done; today marks the beginning of serious preparation for the EURO 2024 Qualifiers versus Sweden.
