Let’s start our day with some positive vibes Gunners – Goalkeeper Petr Cech is back in full training after missing out month of action sustaining hamstring injury.
Many believe Petr Cech should drift in between the woodwork backing over his performances coming into the season, though others contradict the same due to impressive performances by Bernd Leno.
Yes, this is a dilemma for the Gunners and Unai Emery has a big decision to make ahead of him – considering that Arsenal’s head coach has refused to guarantee Cech starting place after Leno’s early impression.
Petr failed to keep up with his form after arriving at Arsenal as his performances stagnated at Emirates, everyone was talking about Chelsea’s Petr Cech – until the arrival of Bernd Leno. Unai Emery brought German international Bernd Leno to give Arsenal an extra edge on the last line of defence but that did help Petr, maybe it motivated him to work harder and give more and since Unai Emery took helm, we have seen a different Petr Cech, a Cech which resembles himself from his Chelsea days.
But Leno has not put a foot wrong replacing Petr Cech, his most recent performance came against Sporting Lisbon keeping a clean-sheet at Estadio Jose Alvalade.
And Emery said: ‘For Sunday Petr Cech is okay, and we must decide whether to play him in the first XI or not.
‘We have very big confidence in all the goalkeepers and I am happy with the way they work with the coaches.
‘It’s a big decision but it’s also a positive one because they are both with a good performances.
‘Now we are very happy with Leno and before Petr Cech had the injury he was also giving very good performances.
‘It’s very important that we are all feeling together in every match. It’s important the players have commitment and good behaviour in every training and every match, whether they are starting in the first XI or on the bench.
‘We need a lot of players. It’s not good for me to have to decide between a lot of players who have good performances to be in the first XI, but it’s the best for the team.’
A Victory today against Crystal Palace will see Arsenal extending their winning run to 12 games, and Emery added: ‘I’m not surprised because I believe in this team.
‘But I know it isn’t easy to win each match. We need continue thinking only about the next match.
‘Crystal Palace away was a very difficult match in Arsenal’s history. But we are going to prepare for the best performance for us.’
