Arsenal may soon be bidding a farewell to one of their most consistent forward in the last two seasons. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund for a record fee to which he has proved his loyalty. The Gabonese has repaid every penny pinned on him.
But it may soon be possible that Aubameyang will be leaving Arsenal to join a bigger and better club in Barcelona and to some aspect Real Madrid too. The Spanish giants are on a transitionary phase and require a centre-forward.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is an option for the Spanish giants even though he has performed at a top notch for Arsenal. The best player of Arsenal is now Barcelona’s option; surely a point indicating the amount of improvement the Gunners need.
The Gabonese international had scored 31 goals in the last season and has continued his prime form this season too. The forward has already scored 9 goals in 15 appearances and is tangibly unstoppable.
Barcelona have an ageing Suarez on their sleeves who they want to replace by a top finisher. No doubt Aubameyang is a world-class striker but is still their option number 2. Their first eye is definitely on Harry Kane who is as good with age on his side.
But if Barcelona do bid for Auba, will he still stay at Arsenal? I doubt this could be the case. The lone wolf would definitely want a trophy on his arm and would prefer playing Champions League alongside A category players. He would rather leave to a country he wants to play than to try and revive the Gunners.
A bid if put forward by Barcelona will surely mean a ticket to Spain for Aubameyang. The only way to stop him is by hoping that Barcelona doesn’t bid.
