After a month of speculations, Arsenal finally signed Cedric Soares from Southampton on loan until the end of the season and with all the words used – it looks like he will pen a permanent deal at the Emirates in the summer when his contract expires at St. Mary’s.
Cedric is one of the household names in the Premier League after his impressive antics for Southampton over the years and his signing could give much of a competition to Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Though much of us Gooners are looking forward to seeing him in action in the famous Red and White but it looks like we’d have to wait for Cedric to make his Arsenal debut as when Arteta was quizzed over involvement of the Portuguese star in today’s clash against Burnley, gaffer revealed that Arsenal’s latest recruit is unfortunately not fit to play.
“They were assessing him yesterday and we will have more results today, but he’s got a little issue. I don’t think he will be available to play [on Sunday].”, said Arteta via. Arsenal.com
Though, Cedric’s absence won’t be much of a worry for Arsenal as fully fit Hector Bellerin and Maitland-Niles are all ready to take charge.
