French centre-back William Saliba believes Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard will score more assists than Bukayo Saka this season.
The star winger has started this season on a high by providing three assists in three games. He is expected to top the goal scoring charts along with Kai Havertz, who has two goals and an assist from the same amount of games.
However, Odegaard is not far behind by his standards, as he registered the most assists (10) for the Gunners in the Premier League last season.

Although he started this season slowly, Saliba has provided an interesting verdict on the Norwegian star. He believes the £30m star will be an important creative playmaker in this campaign. While talking to the Premier League on TikTok, the defender said:
“The player with the most assists with be Martin Odegaard. I think he will again have a lot of assists, so I will again put him first on the team.”
Odegaard has improved his game from the time he stepped into the field at the Emirates Stadium. The 25-year-old provided just two assists in his debut season but later on went on to claim four, seven, and then ten assists in his fourth season with the Gunners.
The captain is not just about goals; he also made 130 key passes that led to direct shots into the Premier League last term (only Bruno Fernandes and Pascal Gross had more).
The No. 8 has adapted himself to the demands of the Premier League and will pick up pace as the weeks pass by. The attacking midfielder should do better if he wants to win the Playmaker of Year award.
He was decent for Norway in the Nations League, and his fitness looks compromised after picking a knock in consecutive matches. We hope that it doesn’t hinder Odegaard’s performances in the English league.
