Brentford manager Thomas Frank has issued a warning message to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest regarding striker Yoane Wissa’s availability for a move this month. As per reports from TBR Football, Frank has put his foot down and will refuse to let Wissa depart the Gtech Community Stadium regardless of the offers that come in for the player.
The versatile 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for Brentford in the Premier League over the last few seasons, and recently overtook Ivan Toney as the Bees’ all-time top scorer in the division. He has scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 23 games so far this season, and the squad relies on him to come up with the goods in big moments.
Top clubs have taken note of Wissa’s traits and are circling over the Congolese marksman’s head with offers, with hopes of luring him away from Brentford. However, having signed him for a measly £8.5 million back in 2021, the Bees will firstly look for a substantial return on their investment, and will mostly look to block any possible bids for the player altogether.
Frank speaks to the media about Wissa’s situation
Thomas Frank doubled down on his and Brentford’s stance regarding top striker Yoane Wissa, stating that the club are unwilling to part ways with their player regardless of the offer this month. Speaking to the media, manager Thomas Frank wished potential suitors a message of good luck, with a tinge of sarcasm. He said, “I would say good luck! That won’t happen!”
Wissa has made a total of 133 appearances for Brentford since joining in 2021, scoring 41 goals and also providing nine assists.

While his age may be a deterrent for Arsenal, who are very categorical about the average age of their squad, Wissa could be an ideal solution for Nottingham Forest. However, they are only just having a great season and players may wait until next season to see if Forest can retain their players after this kind of campaign.
