Emmanuel Adebayor has cautioned Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. He suggests that keeping Gabriel Martinelli on the bench could lead to problems. Adebayor highlighted Martinelli’s sensational performances in recent games. He made these remarks on Premier League Productions after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Adebayor believes Mikel Arteta might face internal issues if Gabriel Martinelli remains a substitute. Emmanuel Adebayor drew from his own experience as a player. “When I was on the bench at Arsenal, I knew that I had Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie in front of me, but it was not easy because every weekend I am in Wenger’s office telling him ‘I am here to play’,” Adebayor said. “We have never seen [Mikel] Arteta go through those moments.”

Adebayor warned that if Gabriel Martinelli stays on the bench, problems will arise. He believes the player’s attitude will change and affect the training ground. Martinelli’s impact was clear against Manchester City. He scored a crucial equaliser shortly after coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute. He also assisted Leandro Leandro Trossard for Arsenal’s second goal.
