Mikel Arteta is Arsenal’s head coach, a Spaniard who returned to north London as manager in December 2019 after finishing his playing career at the club. A former Everton and Real Sociedad midfielder, he spent years learning under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before taking charge at the Emirates.
He guided Arsenal to the Premier League title in 2025-26, and over the years he has rebuilt the squad around a demanding, structured style: a high press, positional play, and set pieces drilled to the finest detail.
