Arsenal’s representatives have reportedly made initial contacts over snapping up highly-talented Uruguayan forward Facundo Pellistri.
If reports by AS are to be believed, Arsenal are among bunch of European clubs lingering around Pellistri as the South Amerian teen is making waves in his homeland.
Facundo Pellistri has quite a path to follow, with playing for Montevideo-based Club Atlético Peñarol in the Primera División – he is their next big prospect after highly rated Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde.
Facundo is ‘one of the pearls of Uruguayan football’ and Atletico Madrid are leading the race to his signature with Arsenal and Barcelona also being in continual contact with his Father as well as representatives over a possible move.
Facundo Pellistri sounds like a prospect the Gunners should look to add in their ranks, although they will have to cut out Atletico Madrid – who have a history with Uruguayan starlets. Though with that being said, Arsenal managed to land Gabriel Martinelli in the summer beating 25 clubs and his development could help them land Facundo Pellistri.
