Arsenal are in the market for reinforcements in attacking positions and their search has led them to Paris as reports suggest they are considering making a move for PSG winger Lee Kang-in. As per reports from The Athletic, Lee would be available for a fee in the region of £40 million – a sum that the Gunners can afford fairly easily. The report also adds that Arsenal would explore a loan-to-buy option.
Despite being a regular starter under Luis Enrique, the 23-year-old South Korean is reportedly open to a new challenge and could seek a move away from the Parisians. He has played across the front three and also in midfield sometimes for Enrique’s side, and has scored six goals and provided two assists in 24 games across competitions so far this season.
While the possibility of bringing the player to the Emirates Stadium is exciting, Kang-in Lee’s current price-tag could be a stumbling block in the current market climate, which could lead to a loan with obligation to purchase, or no deal altogether.
What would Kang-in Lee bring to Arsenal?
Born in Incheon in South Korea in 2001, Kang-in Lee began his youth career with his local club Incheon United in 2009, before joining Flyings FC in 2011, and then Valencia later that same year. He broke into Valencia’s B team in 2017 as a 16-year-old, and made his first-team bow a year later.
He made 62 appearances for Valencia, scoring three goals and providing four assists as well. He then moved to Mallorca and made 73 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists as well. That earned Lee a move to PSG for €22 million on a five-year contract in July 2023, and he did not take time to settle at the club.

Lee has made 24 appearances for the Parisians this season, scoring six goals and also providing two assists. Able to play out wide on the right, up front and also as an attacking midfielder, he would be a good asset for Arsenal to have.
