Arsenal have already begun their search for a top striker after missing out on several players in the previous window and as per FC Inter News, they are now plotting a move for Inter Milan ace Marcus Thuram after being impressed by his consistent performances in the Serie A.
The French international had a successful tenure at Borussia Mönchengladbach before signing for the Nerrazzuri in 2023. He went on to score 15 goals and provide 13 assists in a brilliant debut campaign.
Thuram hasn’t slowed down a bit and has already collected 22 goal involvements this season. He has signed a five year deal with Inter which only ends in 2028. Several elite European clubs are tracking his progress and would be ready to prise him away.
Arsenal are one of those clubs interested in having him in their squad. Manager Mikel Arteta isn’t satisfied with his current crop of players.
Gunners desperately need a striker
Gabriel Jesus continues to struggle since moving to the N5 from Manchester City. Similarly, Kai Havertz isn’t an out-and-out striker and it is clearly evident from the numbers he has produced this season.
Kai Havertz has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, leaving Arsenal with Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri as the only first team attackers Arsenal have fit right now 🤯

They need someone who can provide a similar impact like Erling Haaland. The Gunners have missed key chances upfront and they know that such failures might cost them valuable points in the title race.
As a result, having a player like Thuram will give their attacking lineup a major boost. The Inter star is an ideal fit to their system and has the potential to deliver consistent results.

He would thrive in the challenging physical conditions of the Premier League and his lineup play is second to none. Hence, we believe that Arsenal have several reasons to look up on this star forward ahead of the summer transfer window.
The only major hurdle could be his gigantic €85 million release clause as he has more four years left on his present agreement.
