Former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell took his first managerial steps as he was appointed as manager of Macclesfield Town ,which is probably the worst team in Football League as of now – sitting four points adrift of safety and rock-bottom of League Two.
Gooners won’t need to be reminded who he was, he is one of Arsenal’s invincibles in 2003/04, but the former centre-back will now go from winning silverwares at the dizzy heights of the Premier League to scrapping for status in the fourth division of English football.
Sol Campbell has a huge task ahead of him and the faithful Gooners are with him for this journey. Here are some of the tweets wishing the best for Sol:
Great news, good luck Sol, if you are half as good a manager as you were a player you will be a huge success.
