Olivier Giroud started for Chelsea against West Brom late Monday night, making him the first player to start for both Arsenal and Chelsea in Premier League in same season.
Giroud already looked like an important part of the Chelsea squad with the game revolving around him offensively.
Giroud finished the fixture with a superb ‘one touch’ assist to Chelsea’s first goal, combining with Eden Hazard.
Olivier looked quite impressive and could have ended with couple of goals as well. Giroud was substituted for Alvaro Morata in the 60th minute when he received standing ovation from the Chelsea supporters.
Arsenal supporters love Giroud and it was hard seeing him in a Chelsea shirt. Many Arsenal fans took to Twitter to convey ‘how they feel‘ and below are some of the best comments:
