Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have come close to winning the Premier League title twice now, and they would want to go all the way in what could be Pep Guardiola’s final season in charge of the Cityzens.
The club has already started preparing for the upcoming campaign with the much-awaited signing of Italian international Riccardo Calafiori and the pursuit of depth in the middle of the park, with Mikel Merino eyed as a possible arrival this summer.
The Gunners have also begun their pre-season in preparation for the upcoming campaign as they tour the United States yet again to get back to full fitness as they battle some of the Premier League elites on the road.
This ensures that the club is set to head into next season with 114 points in sight.
Arsenal midfield Jorginho general issues battle cry ahead of new season
Senior midfielder Jorginho, who has established himself as an integral presence in the middle of the park, is looking to go all the way in the English top-tier this time around. The Arsenal midfielder spoke to Hayters TV after the club’s 2-1 win over Manchester United at the SoFi Stadium.
When asked about how difficult it is to start the process again after two failed title bids, Jorginho said:
“Well, we’re working to get what we want. We know it’s really hard, and that’s what we are trying to do to push as much as we can.”
He added, when the host quizzed about how difficult it is to take the next steps, especially on the back of a busy summer:
“When you want to achieve, that’s the key; how much do you want, and if you want so much, you’re going to do it again!”
