Arsenal are reportedly in the hunt to sign Club Brugge winger Noa Lang in the January transfer window. The 22-year-old impressed many when the Belgian side faced Leo Messi and PSG on matchday 1 of the Champions League. However, the Gunners aren’t the only club in the race to sign the talented attacker. Ít is reported that Leeds United are also closely monitoring Noa Lang’s situation at Club Brugge.
Who is Noa Lang?
Noa Lang began his senior career with the reserve team at Ajax in 2017 before joining the first-team squad two years later. He made history for the Eredivisie club when he became the first player to score a hattrick for Ajax on his top-flight debut.
Unfortunately, Lang’s career failed to take off after his stellar debut and manager Erik ten Hag opted to loan the player out to FC Twente. After spending one season with Twente, Lang was loaned out again to Club Brugge last season.
The young forward made heads turn last season with Club Brugge as he scored 14 goals in just 24 Jupiler Pro League appearances, helping them clinch the domestic league title. His impressive displays and consistency form Brugge to sign him permanently for a reported £5.4million fee in the summer.
This season, Lang has already racked up three goals and four assists in eight appearances for Brugge. Reports now claim that the player is set to make the next big step in his career and potentially make a move to the Premier League.
Club Brugge might also be pondering over whether they should cash in on their investment. Having managed to snap up Lang at a low price, Brugge will certainly consider the option to sell him for a massive profit margin.
Are Arsenal keen on Noa Lang transfer?
According to reports, Arsenal are closely monitoring Lang’s situation at Club Brugge. The north London giants might be hoping to land Lang at the Emirates in January itself.
The Dutchman, who can play anywhere along the front line, is reportedly valued at £20million. As Mikel Arteta’s side are struggling for goals in the PL, there might be a possibility that Arsenal seriously considers making a move for Lang. More so, Arteta is seemingly building a team for the future and Lang is a player to look out for in the future.
However, they will face stiff competition to sign Lang from a few PL rivals.
