Arsenal are using Ukrainian star Oleksandr Zinchenko as an agent in their attempt to sign the talented Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in January.
The Gunners have been trying hard to sign the talented Ukrainian winger for quite some time now but the two clubs are unable to reach an agreement over the transfer fee. Arsenal have improved their offer after their first one was rejected by Shakhtar.
The problem for Mikel Arteta’s side is that they are not the only club vying to sign the 21-year-old. Premier League rivals Chelsea are also very interested in the talented winger and could look to hijack the deal from Arsenal.
Mudryk has been having a sensational season with the Ukrainian club. The talented left-winger has played 18 times for his club this season across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists.
Predominantly a left-winger who loves cutting in on to his right foot, Mudryk has also been used as a central forward and sometimes on the right-wing. He is still very young and has a lot of time left to develop.
Arsenal must be looking to sign Mudryk with the idea of integrating him into what is a very young squad that Mikel Arteta is managing. The 21-year-old can provide competition to Gabriel Martinelli on the left-flank and also deputize for Saka on the right.
One thing that the Gunners need to figure out is where this leaves Emile Smith Rowe. People have forgotten how good the Arsenal number 10 can be and Arteta must have a plan on how to reintegrate him once he returns from injury.
Arsenal are trying their best to sign Mudryk and he will be a great acquisition by the club. Let’s hope agent Zinchenko is able to help us pull this one off.
