One of the biggest derbies in the football world – The North London Derby has finally arrived. Arsenal will be hosting their fiercest rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates on a Sunday afternoon kickoff.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were on a course of a flying start to the Premier League with three back-to-back wins against Man City, Wolves & Watford before two consecutive 3-0 defeats against both the London Club’s Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s performance was the opposite compared to Spurs, as they lost their opening three matches. Mikel Arteta’s side later managed to turn things around after they managed to find victories against a newly-promoted side Norwich City and Burnley.
The most recent meeting between the club was on March 2021 in a league game. Arsenal managed to grab all three points after completing a dramatic comeback thanks to goals from Martin Odegaard and a penalty kick from Alexandre Lacazette.
Tottenham have won just one of their last 28 away league games against Arsenal (11 draws, 16 lost), coming from behind to win 3-2 in November 2010.
Arsenal have not won a consecutive league game against Tottenham since their double against their rivals in 2013-14.
