Arsenal were highly linked with a move for Denis Suarez in January (many labeling him Unai Emery’s top priority going into winter transfer window), Barcelona were holding out on a permanent deal which was further compromised into loan deal with summer obligation though Arsenal played some hardball getting him.
Though, as of now, Denis hasn’t done enough for Arsenal to buy him.
Barcelona, on the other hand will be wanting to sell Denis Suarez in order to earn a considerable amount so as to find a replacement for ageing Luis Suarez and left-back Jordi Alba. Apart from Denis, Barcelona have one more loanee in Andre Gomes, presently playing for Everton, who the Blaugrana’s want to sell too.
The collective price of both the player is estimated to be around 40 million Euros, if the players are retained by their respective clubs. However, a third club if negotiates a deal, Barcelona will receive 40 million Euros from the Portugese starlet alone.
Suarez is not yet sure of his future as to whether he will play under Unai Emery who is reluctant in starting the same player for whom he slogged himself the whole January. Or will Suarez will return back to Ernesto Valverde under whom the midfielder is resistant to play. Barcelona will receive around £17 million if Suarez is signed permanently at Emirates by the Londoners.
The players that Barcelona may find as a replacement for their about to retire Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba will highly depend on the summer transfer fee they receive from Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes.
